Sandee was very active in all aspects of the the association even though she preferred to remain in the background.

Joe became CAOA’s Treasurer in 1993, he would be the first to tell you that she did most of the work for the treasurer’s job while he did the accounting part.

She actively researched census records, funeral home books and other resources whenever there was a question about an ancestor.

She faithfully contacted members every spring at her own expense to remind them they would not recieve their News Caster in March because their dues had not been received. When the checks arrived she immediately prepared them for deposit and updated her logs as to who was paid and how far ahead they were paid.

As the Treasurer’s assistant she would attend the board meetings and wasn’t shy about adding her views on the subject being discussed. However, she was very shy about accepting a volunteer position, so we gave her the unknown position of the CAOA’s best Good Will Ambassador.

Sandee, we all miss you so very much!
